Zhuojian Guangming Party Branch Holds Its 2025 Organisational Life Meeting
The Party Branch of Guangdong Zhuojian (Guangming) Law Firm held its 2025 organisational life meeting, chaired by Party Branch Secretary Wen Linjun.
To study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the guiding principles of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, strictly implement the system of intra-Party political life, and strengthen Party spirit and responsibility among Party-member lawyers, the Party Branch of Guangdong Zhuojian (Guangming) Law Firm recently held its 2025 organisational life meeting. The meeting was chaired by Party Branch Secretary Wen Linjun and attended by all Party members of the firm, with guidance from Mu Yinli, Party Committee Secretary of Guangdong Zhuojian Law Firm.
On behalf of the Branch Committee, Wen Linjun delivered the 2025 work report. Covering political and ideological development, organisational activities, Party conduct and integrity, and service to the overall situation, the report identified areas for improvement, including closer integration of Party-building with legal practice, stronger development of young Party members, and broader coverage of public-interest legal services, and proposed systematic rectification measures.
During criticism and self-criticism, the Branch Secretary led by conducting a self-assessment and identifying issues in the depth of political-theory study, the practical effectiveness of Party-building leadership in legal practice and service to the public. Committee members and all Party-member lawyers then spoke in turn, assessed themselves against Party-member standards, the Party admission oath and professional rules for lawyers, and examined their work and thinking. Participants addressed matters such as giving priority to casework over study at busy times, insufficient political awareness in complex matters, and limited initiative in public-interest legal services. Their mutual criticism was candid, fact-based and directed at improvement.
Mu Yinli commended the meeting for its clear focus, standardised procedure, thorough review and practical rectification proposals. She called on the Branch to strengthen theoretical study, deepen rectification and further integrate Party-building with legal practice.
In his closing remarks, Wen set out three requirements: establish a rectification list that identifies measures, responsible persons and deadlines; track implementation and report regularly to ensure every issue is addressed; and build long-term mechanisms that turn the meeting's results into concrete Branch-development measures. The Branch will integrate Party-building with legal practice, public-interest services and industry development, guide Party-member lawyers to uphold the rule of law and their professional mission, and support the firm's high-quality development.
The meeting gave Party-member lawyers an opportunity for serious reflection and renewal. Participants said they would strengthen political awareness, confidence in the path, theory, system and culture of socialism with Chinese characteristics, uphold the authority of the CPC Central Committee and its centralised, unified leadership, and translate the results of the review into conscientious performance of their duties and high-quality legal services.
